The company was moving out of their existing building within two months due to a merger with another legal practice . The move out of a large building with a vast cellar area which held the company archive and was not going to be able to be housed in the new building. Due to the way in which the files were stored, help was going to be needed to pack, index and store the files in such a way that even during the relocation of the archive, files were available to the solicitors if required. The client was keen to insure that no additional storage charges were incurred due to files being kept after their destruction date.


Packers and an indexing team packed all the files into box by destruction date and then indexed on site making sure access was available during the relocation. By doing this all onsite it allowed the company archivist to answer any questions there and then avoiding any delays.


Work completed with  a copy of the database given to the client. They can now request any file, deed or Power of Attorney by name or File number for delivery the next day and with the files packed into boxes by destruction date they are aware by how much their archive will reduce year on year.
