I had work experience with Humphreys for three days. On my first morning, Andy gave me a short induction and handed me over to Liam who gave me a tour round all the warehouses before I helped him find some files and move some boxes from the scanning department back into the warehouses. I was then showed into the offices where I spent the rest of my day with Richard learning about his role in sales. I watched him take calls, send emails and helped him receive customers for shredding. At the end of my last day I had learned a lot about the data management side to the company. For the first half of my second day at Humphreys, I learned about the deliveries wing of the company as I was driven round London by Trevor dropping off and picking up files. We got back in time for lunch and I spent the afternoon scanning files. I spent the early part of the third morning out in the yard helping out Liam and Lorenzo before going with Darrel to survey a potential removals customer’s house. He showed me what he looks at when giving a quote and the process of a removal. I was then taken out to lunch by some of the team and I thank them very much for letting me experience their workplace.
